There are times when we feel like we are drifting in a fog – totally confused. We are longing for something that will bring us peace and happiness. But we have no clue how to get to that point.
Usually we assume that the circumstances don’t allow us to get to this wonderful state. The truth is that it is our attitude does not let ourselves to move forward. Attitude toward ourselves, toward others, or toward life.
For example, the simple thought “I don’t deserve anything good” can be a real obstacle to living decently because this will make the one to miss or refuse any coming opportunities. I know a woman who is always afraid to date caring men because she feels that she is not good for such men. She feels stuck with her fears and depressed with inability to deal with it.
Very often we can be willing to find new opportunities but feeling unable to move on. Even when these opportunities are around us, we might not see them.
This situations reminds me a fly that beats its head against the glass on a window but can not notice the open side of it which is only 20 cm away from the fly. If this fly could see the whole window, it would see the open side and would be able to be free.
The same with us. We get trapped with something and can not see the open way out. We do not see that all real obstacles are within us – in our thinking patterns, in our behaviour, in our attitude.
In order to move on, we need to change our way of thinking: from “I can’t do it and I don’t know how to do it” to “I am willing to change. I am willing to learn.” It makes a huge difference because our new intent allows us to notice what we were not able to see yesterday.

Thank you for this message. I’m at that place right now and I needed to hear that.
You are welcome, Zona!
